Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done
and what I had toiled to achieve,
everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
nothing was gained under the sun.

Tomorrow is the last day of school.  This year, it has further significance than being the end of classes.  This year, it is the end of an epoch: high school.

It would be far too much work to construct sentences and then paragraphs with what I want to say.

Many lists comin' at ya, yo.Collapse )

i keep posting comments and forgetting to change my icon to something relevant to where i'm posting the comment.
this just means i have to comment and embarrass myself a lot more, until i get used to choosing icons.
or i have to find more fandoms...

Music and Personality are connected?

Sep. 7th, 2008 | 07:35 pm
mood: thirstythirsty

I Stumbled-Upon this article and if it is true, I have dissociative identity disorder.  I like some indie music, pop music, and "classical" music (after several years of studying Western music history, I cringe at that term).  According to the article, I lack self-esteem and creativity, but because of my enjoyment of "classical" music I am also supposed to be innovative and self-confident.

WTH?

Writer's Block: Your First Record

What was the first music album you ever bought or owned? Do you still listen to it or have you moved on?

Let Go by Avril Lavigne.  I bought it at A&B Sound.  I made a big deal about wanting to have it, and my mom bought it for me.  Heh...
I don't listen to it anymore, even though I would still like it if I decided to listen to it right now.  I think.  PANIC AT THE DISCO FTW

Writer's Block: You, the Object

Jul. 13th, 2008 | 03:24 pm

Put your body in that of an inanimate object. Choose one that already exists or make one up, and then describe yourself.

Again, spamming my own journal...but this seemed too fun to pass up.

I am a piano.  A shiny midnight blue Steinway & Sons, with a matching adjustable bench.  I am fairly long at two and a half metres long.  My lid is down so as not to deafen people who play me.  I have recently been tuned.  The pedals have a stiffness to them, but feel comfortable to the feet.  It is best to play something by Beethoven on my keys.

If you were to die now, at this moment, what would you think of as the best thing you've ever done in your life?

Haha I feel like I'm spamming my own journal with Writer's Blocks.  Oh well...

That's an easy question.  The best thing I've done for myself or the people around me is acknowledge Jesus Christ as my Saviour.  Duh.

Writer's Block: Just Desserts

Cake or pie? Heated or cold? À la mode or plain?

View 501 Answers

I like cake better than pie.  Although that may be because I have always abhorred pie for no specific reason.  Apple pie seems nasty, though.  Raspberry pie is good... ANYWAY

Cake, slightly cool from the refrigerator, preferably some chocolate flavour or some preserved syrupy fruit thing, except for peaches or melon (yeurk).  Any kind of cheesecake is good.

Damnit I want cake now

Here's to weather that makes one truly appreciate sunshine, and even the snow.

Here's to having created and maintained a good reputation in the world.

Here's to being habitually polite, and tolerant on principle.

Here's to enjoying pop and poutine while wearing a tuque and a pair of runners.  Here's to pulling off a highway to use the washroom, and buying chocolate bars and Lays with loonies.

Here's to knowing that TNA and Lululemon clothing are freaking expensive.

Here's to the trees, lakes, mountains, and shores that cover a big part of our land.  Here's to the beaver, the polar bear, Ogopogo, and other creatures.

Here's to the great sports of hockey and lacrosse... and basketball.

Here's to being able to proclaim our nationality with pride while visiting other nations.

Here's to this awesome country.

Happy 141st birthday, Canada.

Writer's Block: Where your memories began.

What is your earliest memory of your life?

View 501 Answers

I think my earliest memory is of playing with my sister.  Either that or scraping my knee and it hurting like hell.  Or getting yelled at for sticking one of those Spice Girls stickers that came with gum on the wall.

Talk about a habit that you just cannot break.

Sleeping late.  Every time I manage to get to bed a bit earlier, the next night I would just sleep later again, thinking, "I've slept this late before."  Obviously, this has to stop.

Writer's Block: My Userpics

Jun. 18th, 2008 | 03:55 pm

What was your first LiveJournal usericon and why? Why did you select your current default userpic?

View 500 Answers

Heh heh...  this will be completely useless.  Anyways...

My first LJ usericon is/was of Ben Barnes.  It is of Prince Caspian peering around a wall, with the word "stealth" on it.  I use(d) it because I made it and I am quite proud of it.  xD  It's smaller than a regular LJ icon, though, at 96 x 96, because I made it originally for MSN.

For the second question, see above. ^__^

EDIT: I resized my icon.  Just keeping this truthful, heh heh...
